Wearers.com
Behind the Brand
Wearers.com through the PremiumBrands lens and my interest in building an online offer around the people using it.
PremiumBrands.com is where I bring selected domains into a business conversation. As founder, I am drawn to the way Wearers.com puts the person using a garment into view before the company starts explaining its collection.
The naming decision in a business
My experience includes acquiring i-Newswire.com in 2007, then upgrading the business to Newswire.com in 2015. That history is relevant to my thinking about an address as a business decision. I look for an identity someone can explain naturally and keep using while their product and customer relationships develop.
Start with the wearer
Wearers.com appeals to me because it directs attention away from the catalog and toward the person using it. A founder can ask where clothing fits into someone’s day before deciding how many pieces to launch.
That question can lead to a more specific offer. The business might solve a practical wardrobe problem or help people make better-informed choices. My interest is in a name that leaves those decisions with the founder while keeping people at the center.
An apparel founder can use AI to explore a web presentation and try a more specific explanation of the offer. I would want that first version to reveal whether the intended wearer recognizes a useful proposition, while product quality still has to be established through the actual garments.
For a people-focused apparel idea, a first page can test the usefulness of an explanation before a wider launch. I would ask whether a wearer recognizes their own situation in the offer and what information they still need to decide.
The studio supporting the presentation
The studio supporting PremiumBrands is OnlineBusiness.com, where I work on strategy and development. I would welcome a conversation about a serious plan for the domain. You can Ask About Pricing after reading the scope on the Discover the Name. Your interest in Wearers.com can be the starting point for that discussion.
